barisa is a family business first established in the 1980's by Kelly's mum Barb, and Grandmother Isabel.

Barb (Bar) - Isabel (Isa) = barisa

 

In the early days, Barb and Isabel created one-off 100% NZ wool knitwear, embellished with unique designs in leather and other natural materials.

 

Over time, more crafts were added to the stable of products; and as Kelly grew up and entered into the family business - more skills and capabilities were available.

 

Now, barisa has morphed into a three tiered business:
